Peer marking.
So, just a little rant here.
I would usually put this on the dreaded Facebook, but because of the people on there, I can’t do it.
Basically, a couple of months ago, we had a group assignment in university. I got put with a group that I liked, but they didn’t do much of the work, and consequently I did around 90% of the assignment.
Now, how this assignment was marked was that the assignment got a grade, and then the individual grades were weighted depending on your “peer mark” which is what the other members decided you were eligible for.
My group did not put these marks in.
Now, although we got 80% on it, and it’s brought my average to a pass already (without the 3rd assignment worth 50% of the whole module), I’m kinda pissed off because I think I deserved a hell of a lot more than that.
